Oil TechConnect Limited ("OTC") General Data Protection Regulation Overview
Oil Tech Connect Ltd ("OTC") operates the website found at www.oiltechconnect.com (the "Site").
The GDPR develops consistent data protection rules across the EU, and became effective on May 25, 2018. The new rules apply to companies based in the EU as well as companies elsewhere who provide or offer goods or services, and who process data from or about, people in the EU.
In relation to OTC, persons affected by the GDPR are those EU citizens whose personal data is being collected and utilized in our business. Parties include individuals, companies, groups and organisations that are registered with the OTC Site, and our EU and globally based employees.

OTC views data privacy as fundamental to the provision of its services. We will only hold personal data that is necessary to provide the services found on OTC. Any personal data that is not required will either be anonymised to make it non-personal or it will be deleted.
The periods for which we hold data are defined as follows. Once any personal data reaches the appropriate data retention period it will either be deleted or made non-personal via anonymization. For individual who register with OTC, personal data is kept for seven years and then if the registration is deemed inactive, the data will be deleted. Please note that under the GDPR, individuals, companies, groups and organisations can request that their data is deleted. Please also note that OTC will maintain sufficient data for audit, legal, and tax requirements.
Your personal data is used for internal purposes only and is never sold or shared with anyone outside of OTC, unless we disclose information in response to a law enforcement request. The personal and contact details you will not be sold, rented, leased or forwarded to any third party for commercial purposes.
We have firewalls around the database and access controls in place. Access to the data is protected by a combination of access controls and network layer protection such as multi-factor authentication, joiner/mover/leaver processes, password policies, logging, and monitoring. The network layer includes a combination of hardware firewalls and cloud security.

Presently, individuals who believe they have personal data on OTC can log in to OTC using their registration details, to manage, modify or delete their personal information, or alternatively, they can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with their specific personal data inquiries.
OTC may update this Policy. In case of a change, OTC will post the updated Policy on the Site.
